Summer Streets planning picnic

“Pop-Up Greenway” demonstration project coming to Summer Streets

Pop-Up Greenway

Neighborhood Volunteers Needed

Please join your neighbors at a planning picnic for our Summer Streets Celebration on August 9. The Department of Neighborhoods has awarded the Greenwood-Phinney Greenways Group a Small Sparks Grant to install a “Pop-up Greenway” DIY demonstration project–a temporary installation meant to show people what a greenway might look and feel like, and to give an opportunity for feedback, before a project is built. We’ll eat drink and be merry as we devise an implementation plan.

Bring a dish to share and a blanket to sit on. Paper plates, and eating implements provided.

  1. Thanks for attending! We did a lot of great work. We could use more volunteers to set up, paint and direct folks from our booth to the Greenway at the Summer Streets celebration on August 9.
